The Champions for Change Annual Recognition Event honors schools, municipalities, counties, businesses, and individuals who are driving progress in mobility, safety, and sustainability.
We extend our congratulations to William M. Yarzab, Senior Planner at NJTPA, recipient of the inaugural Kent E. Hansen Friends of EZ Ride Award for advancing pedestrian and driver safety through the Street Smart NJ program. Congratulations also to Michael L. Hornsby, Chief Project Development Officer at the NJ Board of Public Utilities, honored with the Champion for Change Award for his leadership in electric vehicle safety and first responder education.

We are proud to recognize the 224 Safe Routes to School award recipients—including 77 municipalities and 147 schools—for activities ranging from safety presentations and community audits to bike skills classes, poster contests, and walk/bike-to-school days. Congratulations as well to the 120 worksites recognized with Electric Vehicle Adoption Leadership (EVAL) awards for their dedication to sustainable transportation.
