Transportation Symposium – Newark’s Revitalization: A Promising Future
Event Navigation
Newark’s history has been built upon its extensive transportation infrastructure and the City’s continued revitalization remains tied to its ability to move people, goods and now, information, by every mode. For decades, our region and state avoided investments in maintenance and technology that endangered what had been a clear advantage. The current contest to attract Amazon’s new HQ has provided an opportunity to recount the completion, construction and planning of significant infrastructure that reflects positively on our economic competitiveness but there is much more we must consider.
What role will our transportation strengths play in creating and sustaining future jobs? How do we address funding for multiple priorities? What are the steps we need to take to ensure that we plan and act vigorously – not return to playing catch-up? Join us to explore these topics and more.
