- 2026: Uber Health – EZ Ride helps Essex County, NJ, scale community transportation with Uber Health
EZ Ride partnered with Uber Health to expand transportation access for seniors, people with disabilities, and low-income residents throughout New Jersey. By using Uber’s on-demand network, EZ Ride reduced transportation costs, addressed driver shortages, and increased service flexibility. The partnership helped provide approximately 140,000 rides in 2025, connecting residents to medical appointments, employment, grocery stores, and other essential destinations.
- 2025: Lyft – How EZ Ride Doubled Rides for Seniors with Lyft
EZ Ride partnered with Lyft to expand senior transportation across New Jersey, using Lyft Concierge to make on-demand rides easier to arrange. The program doubled rides in one year and improved access to medical appointments, dialysis, pharmacies, groceries, vaccines, and social activities for seniors.
- 2013: Community Transportation Association – Urban Community Transportation System of the Year
In 2008, EZ Ride was presented with the Outstanding Transportation Management Association (TMA) Award by the Association for Commuter Transportation (ACT). The award is presented to the TMA that best uses its public/private partnerships to achieve local or regional transportation goals.The Community Transportation Association of America (CTAA) recognized EZ Ride as the 2013 Urban Community Transportation System of the Year. The award recognizes excellence by urban transportation systems in serving the needs of people in their communities. EZ Ride was selected for “innovative and creative collaborations throughout its service area which includes most of New Jersey´s most populous counties.” The transportation programs that serve seniors and individuals with special needs were highlighted as being especially innovative.
- 2008: Association for Community Transportation – Outstanding TMA Award
EZ Ride received the Outstanding Transportation Management Association Award in 2008 from the Association for Commuter Transportation for making strong use of public-private partnerships to meet local and regional transportation goals.
