Yarzab\, Senior Planner at NJTPA\, recipient of the inaugural Kent E. Hansen Friends of EZ Ride Award for advancing pedestrian and driver safety through the Street Smart NJ program. Congratulations also to Michael L. Hornsby\, Chief Project Development Officer at the NJ Board of Public Utilities\, honored with the Champion for Change Award for his leadership in electric vehicle safety and first responder education. \nA special thank you to our presenters for sharing their stories and insights: \n\nEZ Ryde4Life Program – Michael Vieira\, Essex County\nEV Program – Mayor Shelley Brindle\, Township of Westfield\nBike-Ped Program – Martin Ceperley\, SOMa Bike Bus\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWe are proud to recognize the 224 Safe Routes to School award recipients—including 77 municipalities and 147 schools—for activities ranging from safety presentations and community audits to bike skills classes\, poster contests\, and walk/bike-to-school days. Congratulations as well to the 120 worksites recognized with Electric Vehicle Adoption Leadership (EVAL) awards for their dedication to sustainable transportation.
