SUMMARY:Lead the Charge with an EV Ready Workplace: "New Jersey Get EVAL Certified!" - Hosted by Best Workplaces for Commuters
DESCRIPTION:Electric Vehicles (EVs) are set to revolutionize the way we travel. By 2030\, the United States is estimated to have 26 million EVs on its roads\, necessitating 1.3 million workplace chargers. Workplaces play a pivotal role in achieving the nation’s net-zero emission goals\, with 60% of EV drivers relying on workplace charging due to lengthy commutes or limited charging options in multifamily housing and densely populated areas without personal charging infrastructure. \nPosition your business at the forefront of sustainability by creating an EV-ready workplace. It demonstrates environmental leadership and enhances your competitive edge in employee recruitment and retention. 52% of US employees believe their employers should take more environmental initiatives\, making workplace charging a compelling factor. And workplace charging is inexpensive compared to other employee benefits: as little as $1.50/day with Level 2 charging—less than a cup of coffee! \nWondering how to kickstart your workplace charging initiative? \nJoin us for a webinar scheduled for March 14\, 2024\, at 3 pm\, hosted by Best Workplaces for Commuters at the Center for Urban Transportation Research (CUTR)\, University of South Florida (USF). \nLearn about EVAL – a U.S. Department of Energy-funded\, nationally-recognized certification program that aims to increase workplace charging programs. The program provides a roadmap\, resources\, and recognition for organizations that support the adoption of sustainable transportation at their worksite\, specifically the adoption of electric modes of transportation.  The program is administered by Forth and will be implemented by EZ Ride in New Jersey. Register to participate. \nWhether you’re a seasoned industry professional\, an EV enthusiast\, or someone curious about the future of transportation\, this webinar is designed to provide valuable knowledge and foster insightful discussions. We look forward to your participation. \nAbout EZ Ride: EZ Ride is a not-for-profit transportation management association (TMA) that partners with businesses and governments to implement transportation programs and services like carpools\, vanpools\, shuttles\, biking & walking initiatives\, and rides with companies like Lyft and Uber. \nIn response to growing concerns about safety and climate change\, EZ Ride is proactively rolling out new initiatives such as speed studies\, plans for fleet electrification\, and the promotion of workplace charging solutions. \n  \n
