Safety is paramount at EZ Ride. Our drivers meet the highest industry standards. Our vehicles exceed strict, independent state inspection standards and our in-vehicle cameras help record any accidents or incidents.
Today’s commuter wants choices. If your building isn’t next door to a bus or rail station, EZ Ride Shuttles offer you a safe, reliable link to public transit. – An easy solution for all your transit riders.
So What Makes Us Different
EZ Ride is one of the few non-profit public-private partnerships that focus exclusively on providing transportation services. Organizations like New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT), NJ Transit, North Jersey Transportation Planning Authority (NJTPA) and the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey (PANYNJ) serve on our board and help us access federal funds, where possible.
Our clients demand reliability. EZ Ride delivers it with newer vehicles, regular maintenance, and Twitter updates on services affected by weather and traffic patterns. With our new app you can even find your ride and its Expected Time of Arrival (ETA) on your smartphone.
Shuttle Bus Features
A comprehensive digital fleet management system tracks maintenance schedules, inspections and registration for our entire fleet. Every vehicle is equipped with GPS, on-board camera and Mobile Data Terminal (MDT). Together, they ensure safety and reliability of our shuttle operations.
Marketing drives everything at EZ Ride. Success in the shuttle business is defined by one word: “Ridership.” From a customized shuttle wrap that serves a “moving billboard” for your brand to high-quality collateral to encourage ridership on your shuttle to outreach directly to your constituents, we have all the angles covered.
Our vehicle fleet is the foundation of our reputation for safety and reliability. Every mini-bus is maintained with care and an eye on passenger comfort. Late model, clean vehicles, excellent insurance coverage and a laser focus on maintenance are the hallmarks of our approach to operating a top-notch fleet.
The GPS unit in our shuttle is connected to the EZ Ride network so we know the exact location of every shuttle at all times. You too can know the location of your specific shuttle by signing in at EZRide.org
The on-board cameras help to record accidents and incidents. The data is downloaded and reviewed daily by an outside contractor who alerts us by sending an email in case of an accident. The information is used to monitor driver performance and provide feedback.
Tablet computers in each vehicle display the shuttle’s schedule. The drivers “punch in” at every stop and we are notified in real-time about their location and the clients picked up. They are also used to send text messages to the Driver.
We promote your brand by wrapping your shuttle with high-impact eye-catching graphics. You provide the graphics and we will work with specialists to have the bus wrapped..
We will work with you to increase ridership with informative brochures, flyers and posters about your shuttle’s benefits and schedule.
We will host events to inform and attract new riders to your shuttle. At these events we provide information not only about your shuttle but also about public transit, carpools and vanpools that can offer meaningful commute alternatives.
Our fleet consists of wheelchair accessible Ford E-450 mini-buses that carry between 20-29 passengers and are retired after about three years. A younger fleet ensures greater reliability and lower maintenance costs..
We carry $5 million insurance per vehicle, more than three times the state requirement, and we are planning to raise it to $9 million. Yet, we pay one of the lowest premiums in the industry, thanks to our excellent driving record.
We follow a strict schedule for maintenance, inspections and registration that is tracked by a state-of-the-art digital system. Vehicles are washed every week and inspected by the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT) inspectors every six months.
